August 6, 2004 - August 9, 2004
This weekend was long and hard! Three days of grueling work,
We left on Thursday night and started work on Friday morning. There had been significant progress made on the roads, and (thankfully) an access road to South Camp had been bulldozed in. In addition, our 4-wheel drive had now been fixed, so we felt more comfortable driving to South Camp.
Work started on Friday morning around 7am, and continued until it got dark. On Saturday, we started around 8am, and worked until 6 or so. But on Sunday, Loretta had run out of steam. So we started around 9am, and quit around 4pm. As you can see, we still managed to get a lot done.
(As always, click on the picture to get a larger picture that you can see better)
We'll be adding some additional pictures to this page to show the progress of the road.
