Easter 2006

Another whole week in Three Rivers! Again, it was a working vacation, but we still found time for a little play.

It's starting to warm up now, soon, we'll be complaining of the heat.

Our primary projects this week were to complete the tractor projects and replace the tarp over the deck.

(As always, click on the picture to get a larger picture that you can see better)

Rob assembles the hydraulic cylinder at home, so he knows everything will fit.

Once again, Loretta is called into action to paint the tractor parts. But this time, we paint them at home, so they'll have a chance to dry before we go up there. (slideshow)

It's a little hard to make out in this picture, but there were very large bear tracks coming through our camp!

Since Loretta and Rob are so busy, Wes occupies himself by hiking, hunting, climbing, and generally being a kid. (slideshow)

We tear down the old tarp, and trim up the trees for our new tarp. First, Rob builds the frame for it. (slideshow)

Rob and Wes start goofing around, with Wes climbing to the top of the ladder, and Rob 'whipping' him onward and upward. (slideshow)

Next, we put the tarp up. And it was a very good thing. Right as we were finishing it up, it strated raining. (slideshow)

But, back to work on the tractor. First, the backhoe subframe. (slideshow)

Now for the box blade hydraulics (slideshow)

While Loretta goes to the store, Rob finds dinner. (slideshow)

There she is. What a beautiful job!

Check out the box blade functions now! (video)

As you watch this video, pay close attention to the top of the boxblade. Rob could never have done this, this easily, without the hydraulic rippers.(video)

Rob and Wes relax in the evening. Wes is really, really cold.

And to end the visit to our Easter vacation, here are some photos of the scenery. (slideshow)
