05/27/05 - 05/30/05

This weekend started out very hot. We got to camp around 9pm Friday night, and it was still 80 degrees! Saturday was a very nice day, though. Not too hot, and Saturday night it got downright chilly. Sunday and Monday were beautiful.
Rob's daughter, Jenny, came up with us, and Loretta and Jenny spent several hours spraying the road - it was so bad that in places it was hard to see the road at night, coming into camp. They were so proud to be able to fill the garden sprayer without spilling! Later that night, Loretta remembered - they had forgotten to add the Roundup! So they had managed to water the road with 10 gallons of precious water. (Jenny went out and did it 'right' on Sunday).
Rob had designed a bench for the firepit, precut the wood, and carried it up to camp. As you can see from the pictures, it turned out beautiful!
