October 8-10, 2004
Rob and Tommy went up to the camp during the week, and we have a few pictures of that.
When Rob and Tommy arrived, they noticed that the hummingbird feeder had been smashed, there were bear paw marks on the tool shed tarp, and bear tracks in the camp. Obviously, we had a direct visitor. So, the next weekend, we decided we needed to make it less inviting. We moved the hummingbird feeder to a tall tree in front, and added 'berms' of tree branches all around. We also made a 'fence' out of our surveyor stakes to partially block one of the entrances. Finally, we dug trenches around the decks in preparation for the rain.
