Our all-natural cleansing grains include the gentle exfoliating qualities of natural grains along with our own grated handmade soap. Our cleansing grains come with and without kaolin clay. Kaolin clay helps absorb excess oils as you cleanse. The Terra Vita with clay comes unscented or freshly scented with pure essential oils. $4.50 each(3 oz) Lotion Bar Soften that dry, rough winter skin with our solid lotion 'bar'. Beeswax, shea butter, and healing oils join together with a touch of pure essential oils to fight the dryness that comes with indoor heating and outdoor biting cold. Our lotion bars are also very good for those rough heels, knees and elbows. Works best when you apply it while your skin is still slightly damp from bathing. Apricot Kernel Oil is a very light oil, which makes it an excellent massage oil. It's especially good for dry or aging skin. It also soothes inflamed, sensitive skin. Fractionated Coconut Oil is great for a non-greasy massage oil. It has very good slip, and sinks rapidly into the skin, so your skin is soft, yet not oily. Has absolutely no odor, so it can be scented easily with essential oils. Jojoba, which is actually a type of liquid plant wax, as opposed to an actual oil, is excellent for your hair and skin. Use it to remove make-up and dirt. Soften heels and calluses. An excellent cuticle conditioner, Jojoba has a chemical make-up that is almost identical to human sebum. It has long been used in exclusive European spas, and is just now becoming readily available here. Rhassoul is mined deep under the Atlas mountains in Morocco. We sell it in its natural state, which looks very much like rocks. Yet these 'rocks' will readily dissolve and disintegrate into a wonderful clay, right before your very eyes! It is sometimes described as a balancing clay, since it attracts and lifts dirt, yet does not strip the skin of precious natural oils. It leaves your skin and hair clean and soft. Depending on how much water is added, it can be used as a facial mask, a cleansing cream, or even as a shampoo! Our Rhassoul is packaged in a glass jar, ready for gift-giving, and comes with a small plastic jar to mix and keep in the shower. 15.00 each (12.6 oz) Hydrosols Hydrosols are the by-product of the distillation of essential oils. Most essential oils are created through steam distillation. The botanical is placed in a container with water and heated. The steam extracts the essential oils and rises into a tube. The steam containing the essential oils is then quickly cooled, and the resulting water and oil fall into a collection container. The majority of the essential oil floats to the surface and is extracted. However, the remaining water still contains some of the essential oil, and retains both the scent and some of the properties of the essential oil. Hydrosols can be used to freshly scent your bedsheets and linens, used as a body spray, or sprayed lightly on your face when you're tired and hot. They are especially nice to use on an airplane. Our hydrosols come in a very classy non-aerosol clear spray bottle, trimmed in either silver or gold. We carry two sizes; 30 ml and 60 ml. Shea comes from a tree grown primarily in Africa. The most common subspecies of this tree is grown in West Africa. However, the finest shea comes from a subspecies that is grown in the Uganda and Sudan regions. Because of the continuing war conflicts in those areas, it is not exported in significant quantities. Our unrefined Nilotica shea is the product of a non-profit aid project in those regions. Unlike most unrefined shea butters, it is extremely soft - almost cream-like. It is highly moisturizing. Approximately 1/8 teaspoon is all it takes to moisturize both hands, and it leaves a non-oily protective, moisturizing film on your skin. It is highly versatile: it can also be used on your face, as a facial cream, or used to eliminate those ugly cracks in your heels. All of our soaps are made from scratch, using either the cold process method or the hot process method, and they all weigh approximately 3.5 ounces. As a general rule, we use only pure essential oils and all natural, herbal colorants. However due to high customer demand, we do have a few varieties that use synthetic fragrance oils or colorants, and those have been indicated in the description. It has a very fresh scent that reminds us of a walk in a meadow on a sunny day. The scent in this bar is a synthetic fragrance oil. Sultan Daze An exotic looking and smelling bar that features Peru Balsam. An excellent choice for the man in your life! Earth Balance Who says that oily skin needs evil-smelling concoctions? This bar features Moroccan Red Clay to lift impurities and help absorb excess oil. It is scented with wonderful, sensuous sandalwood essential oil. Seventh Veil This is another exotic looking soap, scented with patchouli and amyris. The deep maroon swirl comes from madder root. Peppermint Patty This gorgeous blue castile bar is colored with ultramarine oxide, and scented with peppermint essential oil. The small red and purple flecks are a pure accident of nature that we've never been able to recreate, so when this soap is gone, it's gone. A nice, fresh way to wake up in the morning. Luffa/Loofah 'The Ugly Soap for Beautiful Feet'. Loofah (also spelled luffa) is a member of the curcubit family (squashes). It grows on a very prolific vine with gorgeous yellow flowers, and looks very much like a giant overgrown cucumber or zucchini. But the inside structure is the very best for gently scrubbing away dead skin. We fill the cleaned loofah with our best cleansing soap, then slice it, so each round slice is filled with soap in all the nooks and crannies of the loofah. Kamikaze The amazing karanja oil is the only oil, scent or colorant used in this bar. Karanja oil has healing and antiseptic properties almost identical to neem, but does not have the sulphurous smell that neem has. A great bar for troubled skin. Mountain Glory Meadowfoam seed oil makes this bar extra-moisturizing, dill weed provides a delightful green fleck, and the black spruce essential oil is absolutely to-die-for. Men really seem to like this bar - it must remind them of food (just kidding,guys). Spirit Sings Blue is almost impossible to obtain using all natural means, unless you use chamomile essential oil - which is what this bar is swirled with. The scent is not what you would expect from chamomile, and, quite frankly, it's not for everyone. But if you're looking for something truly unusual, this is it. Coffee No, this doesn't smell like coffee (well, at least, not very much). But coffee is one of the best things to get odors off your hands. Onions, chilis, skunks - they just can't hold up to coffee. This bar is made with triple strength coffee, brewed 3 times. Ginger Ginger is well-known for its ability to increase circulation.
